The story behind this game is that my smartphone got damaged, requiring me to revert back to an old phone. Suddenly I knew the smartphone was missing something and the idea for a accurate Snake remake was born.
Snake 97 is an homage to the classic mobile phone game programmed in 1997.
By carefully analyzing the classic gameplay, timing and controls, this Snake 97 remake is one of the most accurate available.

That was an awesome game on my first cellphone... and it has not lost any of it charming simplicity...
I only wish the ads were on the top of the screen or there was an option to pay to remove it. My hand keeps pressing on the ad by accident which interrupts gameplay
Wheres the pause button? I love playing games like this one on the subway but I die every stop!
Absolutely stellar app. I play it everyday during trips or when Im bored and it never gets boring. Im also digging the "easy" controls
Great gameplay. Very true and accurate to the original version. It really brings me back to the days of indestructible phones. Very cool sound and graphics. Get lost in the game, waste tons of productive time without even realizing. Hurray for Snake 97!
Some bad moments
Yay - throwback game and all, but its loaded with hidden click bait, enough to freeze up your phone. After every game you have to sit through an ad. Not worth the free price. Deleted!
The game is fun but the tempo and rhythm of the game gets ruined every time I die and have to start over because Im forced to view an ad! It gets real annoying having to sit through an ad.
Back when games actually came with the phone when you bought one. No in-app purchases and all the BS we pay for. I loved it back then and I love it now, A little different feel but still pretty good!
Since I cant check news, sports and dont want to engage in an all out cell sport this is great to play in low internet signal big store while wifey is shopping. This takes me back to when I had the Nokia. Im happy, shes happy, done deal.
this is one of the most genius apps ever, it really looks and feels like those old nokias i used to play snake on... super nostalgic and addicting
